Your simple guide to posting a job onto
TipTopJob...... |
|
1. Register your Company
Find the links on the 'Recruiter homepage' - select 'new user - register
now' OR ' Register as a new user'.
|
|
1.b. OR Login
If you are already registered, simply login using your userID or email
and password.
Alternatively, click on the banner 'Place a Job now' - this will take
you to a login/registration page.
|
|
2. Register Job Link
Once logged in, proceed to 'My Jobs' and click on 'Register Job' in
the drop down menus across the top of the site.
|
|
3. Choose Categories for Job
Fill out the categories where the job will be placed - industry, location
and duration - what you select here determines the price you pay.
a. Domain - The website you are registered on will appear under
'Website to Post Job on' - this is the default domain and cannot be
changed. Your job will be registered on this domain.
b. Primary Industry Sector - Select the primary Industry Sector
for the job. This should be the industry sector the job role is most
appropriately categorised under, e.g. an IT developer will go into
IT, a Chef will go into Catering.
c. Associated Industry Sectors - Then, if you require the job
to go into an 'Associated Industry Sector', please select a maximum
of 5 from the choice in the list. Only select those relevant to the
job. If your role is found within the IT sector but it is not an IT
position, you may want to include it in the two sectors to maximise
coverage to all possible candidates, e.g. an IT Analyst working for
an accountancy company should be placed into IT and Accountancy.
NOTE: Try to be as specific as possible - there is no point
in choosing an industry sector that is irrelevant to the role because
no candidates will find it when they conduct a search.
d. Country Job is located - This is the Country that the job
is located in - where the candidate will be based.
NOTE: If you have one job, but there are several located in
different Countries, please make sure you register a different job
into all the different Countries. If you do not do this, your job
will not appear for candidates searching in all the Countries you
have not registered it under and will no doubt lack response.
e. Job Type and Duration - Specify whether the job is contract,
permanent, part-time or temporary and how long you wish it to be advertised
for.
Industry-Specific Sites
For the Industry-Specific Sites - the procedure is roughly the
same as TipTopJob. You will not be able to choose the various industries
and your default domain will appear as before. You are only able to
register your job into this industry sector. To register jobs in other
industries, please contact the sales team on 0870 870 1193.

4. Payment for Job
Once you click 'Continue', you will be taken through to the payment
page where the total cost relates to what you have just selected.
Your selection will be displayed and how many credits it is worth.
If you are posting a job for the first time, your current balance
will be 0 as the screenshot shows.
NOTE: The screenshot shows 4 credits = 1 job for 30 days on
the UK domain in the HR sector.
Your choice at this point:
- purchase credits in bulk or
- purchase the selected job by card.
Choice 1: Buy in Bulk.
Currently, you are only able to purchase 100 credits online. We
advise you to call the sales team on 0870 870 1193 should you wish
to pursue this option.
Choice 2: Pay by Card.
For the UK, 1 job costs £250 per domain for 30 days. Select
this option and click continue.

5. Register your Job
Title and Description - The first section of this next page
focuses on the region/town, title, description and salary and description
of the job. We have a full article in the client resources telling
you how to write an effective job description.
NOTE: Location - To target your advert in the best way; select
the region it is located in. If you have two jobs in two different
locations, please register two jobs separately (one in each location)
in order to gain the most amount of exposure. In the box below, enter
the Town in. This will allow your job to come high in the list if
a candidate types your town in, into the keyword box. The more specific
you can be, the more targeted your advert and the better quality response
you will get.
NOTE: Title - Make this as standardised as possible - use a
variety of titles to cover different candidates searches, e.g. Sales
Executive, Sales Consultant - put your mind into the mind of the jobseeker
and think about what they may search for.
NOTE: Description / Job Advertisement Text - Make this simple
and concise so the jobseeker does not loose interest when reading
it. Paragraph the text into the job role/details, skill/certifications/educational
requirements, the company background and success, a call to action
and use bullet points where necessary.
The first part of the paragraph is shown in the job summary when a
candidates first does a search, so make the first paragraph eye catching,
interesting and use content that will make the candidate want to click
through to your job to read on!
Ensure you have the job title and the keywords that candidates may
search for this job using throughout the job description. This ensures
the job comes up top when they are searching by relevance. The more
targeted and well written your advert is, the higher it will appear
in the job search.

you are ensuring only those eligible to work in the country are going
to apply.
